What You’ll Learn

You will learn everything I think you need to get started on your journey to be a poet as well as everything I wish I had known when I started writing.

I have condensed my 15 plus years of teaching to this 17 week video course.

How to start writing poetry with confidence
Techniques for building rhythm, imagery, and emotional impact
How to edit, polish, and prepare poems for publication
How to develop your own poetic voice
Where to find inspiration every day

How It Works

Each week for 17 weeks you will be sent a link to a Masterclass Video for that week’s topic of discussion. You will be sent writing exercises to complete.

At the end of our creative journey together you should have successfully written a portfolio of poems, from which to pick 5 pages of poetry from for your  40 min 1-2-1 zoom editorial feedback meeting with me, Katherine Lockton.

We will celebrate then with a group reading online which you can invite family and friends to.
