What is poetry? During this session we will look at what poetry is and can be using lists and art led writing exercises. We will focus on what can be achieved with poetry. We will also look at implementing writing routines and how to beat the blank page.

On the day, we will:

*Write two/three poems of our own *Discuss what we can learn from the master writers *Read our work out in a supportive and friendly environment

*You will leave the workshop with a meaningful insight into the structure and techniques of the examples of great writing as well as a confident ability to create meaningful work of this genre. You will also leave with a body of work that you can build on after the session.
