Description

What is the link between the real and the surreal? How can we use the concrete and reality in the surreal?

While exploring different surrealist games and writing exercises we will see how things such as dream diaries can be fed into our poetry writing.

Through close exploration and reading of a wide range of interesting and exciting poems, followed by several writing exercises, this class will inspire you to explore what surrealism can add to your writing.

During this class we will look at writers such as Selima Hill and Pascale Petite to inspire surreal poems of our own.
